About Joyce Burns Art Studio:
The Joyce Burns Art Studio, was started with a small once per week session in December, 1984 by Mrs. Burns to encourage those interested in the many different facetes of art and other artists to practice their disciplines in the Clinton Arkansas region.
It was felt that by addressing the needs of students and artists in the process of developing their hobbies and careers, the Joyce Burns Art Studio would help talent to remain in our region and attract other artists to the area as well. Critical to the needs of every artists is a supportive public, therefore community outreach has now become a primary focus of Mrs. Burns Art Studio.
Providing for the most basic needs of artists, the Art Studio makes available affordable studio space and access to supplies for painting. The Art Studio gallery exhibition space and the website gallery are an alternative to sometimes costly commercial galleries and encouraging the experimental work and a means of where the public may monitor the progress of our students and artists. The Art Studio's education programs are an effective means of community outreach and another possible source of income for the artists.
Class Schedule and Prices
Classes are held on Monday and Tuesdays
Morning session : 9:00am through 11:30am Afternoon session: 1:00pm through 3:30pm
Evening session: Monday: 5:00pm to 7:30pm, Tuesday: 6:00pm to 8:30pm.
Class fee is $10.00 per session and you have the option of staying for the morning and afternoon sessions for $20.00. (If space in the class is available).
The studio sells art supplies and the Frame shop can take care of your framing needs.
At the studio each student has the option of choosing the subject of their painting and the medium to paint with. At the moment I have people painting Portraits, Animals, Landscapes, Seascapes, Still life, and Flowers. They may be using Oil, Acrylic,Watercolor, Pastels, Graphite or colored pencil. We have great fun and it is exciting to see the progress of each student.
Classes are only held Monday and Tuesday of each week.
